Career Services Yorke and Mid North Launches

In partnership with and with funding from the South Australian Government’s Skills for Jobs in Regions, Regional Development Australia Yorke & Mid North has added a new service to their already free and comprehensive suite of business and consumer services.

This free* Career Service is being delivered across the Mid North, Southern Flinders and Yorke regions. The service helps people manage and improve their career opportunities by providing assistance with career planning, advice on local industries and job opportunities, job applications and interview techniques tailored to specific industries and jobs. The service will provide one on one support to people who are out of school, out of work or out of training. They can assist people who are unemployed, underemployed or at risk of retrenchment (i.e. casual, part-time), or seeking a career change.

The objective is to help people to be ready for work and to increase their opportunities to obtain jobs within the region. The career practitioner will help people to better understand and connect with the learning, training and work opportunities available in the local region.

Career Services focus on a person’s learning and work needs and help them to act on opportunities. Career Services Yorke and Mid North can provide the tools to plan for your preferred working future.
