TAFE SA Fee Free Workshop

Information on the Fee Free Workshop at the TAFE SA Barossa Campus (Nuriootpa)

FEE FREE workshop on "Understanding Business Tax Requirements". This South Australian Government Small Regional Community (SRC) training initiative is fee free for eligible residents of small regional communities in South Australia (see eligibility conditions below).

This workshop will be of particular interest to any current and former TAFE SA students and small regional community residents wanting to learn Business tax requirements for their employment or personal use.

This workshop will be held at Barossa (Nuriootpa) campus on Monday 1st February 2016.Two session times are available:

Morning session 9.00am-2.00pm

Evening session 4.00pm-9.00pm

Workshop Contents:

The purpose of this workshop is to provide you with a basic knowledge of Business Tax principles and rules. 

Topics covered in the workshop will include business registration requirements, business taxable income and tax deductions, Pay As You Go (PAYG), Goods and Services Tax (GST), Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT), Superannuation, WorkCover, Payroll Tax, Wine Equalisation Tax (WET), Luxury Car Tax (LCT) and Fuel Tax Credits.

Workshop Outcome: This workshop will enable you to understand and apply business taxation rules to your day to day business transactions and operations and to meet the compliance requirements of the Australian Tax Office. 

National Accreditation: FNSACC401  Process business tax requirements and FNSFLT206 Develop knowledge of taxation

Workshop Location:Old Kapunda Road, NURIOOTPA.

Workshop Delivery:

This workshop will be conducted by our business tax professionals who have extensive experience in business transactions and business taxation rules and principles.Participants will develop the skills and knowledge required to comply with business tax requirements through the application of their learning to real life business examples.

Course Fees: This workshop is fee free for eligible residents of small regional communities in South Australia.


Fee Free Eligibility Conditions:

  • Student must reside in a Small Regional Community(SRC)and view the eligible locations please click on  SRC Locations
  • Student must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Students cannot be enrolled under any other funded program for the same service 
  • Training must be either On Campus, or a mix of On and Off Campus  

Training Materials: All necessary training materials will be provided without additional fees or charges.
