Waterloo Wind Farm Stage 2 COMMUNITY UPDATE

Construction works to install six new turbines at the southern end of the Waterloo Wind Farm have commenced.

WHAT WORK IS TAKING PLACE?


During March, works will focus on building temporary construction facilities, including one site entry on Steelton Road East. Earthworks to establish a private access trackand turbine hardstands along the ridgelinewill also take place to prepare for delivery andinstallation of the turbines in June/July.
Some minor adjustments to Steelton RoadEast will be completed to enlarge a turningcorner for larger vehicles.
Trimming of road side vegetation – in line with Council requirements – will also be done at this time.
Works will occur between the operating hours of 7.00am and 18.00pm Monday to Friday.
Works are to be carried out by Vestas, our main contractor, and OTM Civil Engineering.

TRAFFIC


During March, there will be an increase inboth light and heavy vehicle movements onlocal roads in the area. Drivers have been instructed to move safely and be mindful of local vehicles on these roads.

SAFETY


Worker and community safety is our top priority. Inspection of roads quality and management of dust will take place to protect driver safety.
Please help us play a part in keeping the community safe by driving to the existing conditions on the roads and keeping a safe distance from construction vehicles.
