About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Aboriginal Primary Health Care Manager to lead and coordinate client care within our Aboriginal Health Team Northern. This role is crucial for managing and inspiring a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality primary health care services and optimal client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a diverse team to deliver exceptional care.
  • Oversee and coordinate primary health programs and services.
  • Drive performance, address practice inconsistencies, and foster a positive work environment.
  • Provide top-notch health care to the Aboriginal community, focusing on holistic well-being through the Tarpari Wellbeing Centre and the Indigenous Australians Health Program.

Essential Criteria

  • Be Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse or Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • Hold, or be eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
  • Have at least 3 years post registration experience.
  • Experience in management and leadership roles.
  • Experience in community development, project work and in applying the principles of Primary Health Care.
