A great opportunity is available for an Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM), Health Liaison Nurse (Home Nurse) with a passion for providing specialised nursing services within the local community.

The Health Liaison Nurse (Home Nurse) position is predominantly clinical in nature, however, as the Associate Nurse Unit Manager, you will provide support to the Nurse Unit Manager or equivalent in the leadership of nurses/midwives within the Community Nursing & Palliative Care Team.  Employees in this role will undertake a portfolio within which they will:

  • promote continuity and consistency of care in collaboration with other Clinical Nurse/Midwives and the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager or equivalent;
  • assist in the implementation of practice changes and
  • assist in undertaking unit management responsibilities that may include performance management processes, recruitment, staffing, leave management, rostering, work allocation and attendance management, financial and supplies planning and monitoring.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Registered Nurse with at least 3 years post-registration experience or currently classified as a Clinical Nurse/Midwife
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Experience in the use of clinical software (e.g., Sunrise EMR, Microsoft Office).
  • Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice, CVAD management, NPWT management, stomal therapy and male and female catheterization, Hospital in the home service delivery.
  • Proven ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and manage competing priorities.
