About the Role:

Days Eggs are currently seeking a number of Egg Packers based out of our Lower Light Grading and Distribution Facility.  This is not your average Packing role; the sorting and grading of Eggs are done by our class leading MOBA Grading Machine.  In this fast-paced role you will be working closely as part of a small but essential team, packing Cartons of our product into customer orders.  This is a casual position, with up to 38 hours each week. Grading shifts commence at 7:00am. This would be an excellent opportunity for someone on a working holiday!

 

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Reporting to the Grading Floor Supervisor Packers will:

  • Packing of Graded Egg Cartons into customer orders.
  • Take part in the end of day cleaning routine
  • Operate Denesters and load empty cartons for filling.
  • Ensure accuracy of packing, the correct packaging for the item.
  • Operate forklifts and Pallet Jacks;
  • Assist in the upkeep and cleanliness of the Grading Floor;
  • Follow all food safety, hygiene, GMP procedures and policies and report any non-conformances to the FSQM team; and
  • any other duties as assigned and within your ability.

 

About you:

As the candidate of choice, you will possess:

  • An exceptional attention to, and eye for detail;
  • A sound level of verbal communication;
  • The ability to lift boxes not more than 15kgs;
  • Able to work in semi refrigerated environment (11-14)
  • The ability to confidently speak and interact with others; and
  • A positive can-do attitude and the ability to follow directions.

 

Essential Criteria:

  • Drivers Licence.
  • High Risk Forklift Licence.
  • National Police Check.
  • Well-developed time management skills.
  • Willing to undergo a Pre-Employment Medical with D&A Screening.
