About the Role

As a Client Support Attendant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, compassionate care to patients across various departments, including theatre and allied care services. Your diverse responsibilities will include assisting with patient transport, bed making, cleaning, and maintaining equipment, as well as supporting various clinical duties as directed. This is a hands-on role where you will directly contribute to patient comfort and safety, helping the health service run smoothly and efficiently.

You will be working in a supportive team environment, collaborating with other staff members to ensure the highest standards of care and service. Whether you’re assisting with admissions, transporting patients, or providing general support in patient care, your work will be integral to the smooth operation of our health unit.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide essential support in patient care, including bed making, patient transport, and assisting with admissions.
  • Assist with routine duties such as cleaning and maintaining patient equipment and supplies.
  • Support staff in the delivery of healthcare services, ensuring hygiene and safety standards are met.
  • Help with the transportation of blood, drugs, and specimens between departments.
  • Assist with various tasks such as preparing snacks and beverages for children, and supporting the early childhood program as needed.
  • Contribute to hospital procedures, including surgical shaves, mortuary care, and call centre dispatch duties.
  • Perform other duties as required, working in a flexible, team-oriented environment.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience in providing direct care services, particularly with aged, frail, or disabled individuals.
  • Strong judgment and initiative in performing tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in using computer packages, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
  • Ability to work effectively in a team, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Flexible approach to work, with the ability to adapt to varying work environments and rostering systems.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and numeracy skills, with attention to detail.
  • A commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and maintaining a respectful, caring approach with all patients and staff.
