As MJ Drilling continues to grow successfully  we are looking to employ hard working, reliable individuals as Driller Assistants with the opportunity to become Drillers

Drilling is an exceptionally challenging job. The retention rate as an industry average is approximately 25%. Of that 25% only 70% make it to Driller . They are 12 hour days, 7 days a week, extended time away from family and friends. The job is physically and mentally demanding. As a drillers assistant you are expected to work hard, be well organised and have a strength of character that few possess. We screen all applicants heavily to ensure we have the right team in the workplace and move on people promptly who fail to meet our teams requirments.

The positives are that you travel the country, see and experience places many do not get to. Accommodation meals and clothing are provided. Financially it is a great way to get ahead in life and opens the doors to many paths in the mining industry in Australia and overseas.

About the role

• Assisting driller with daily operations
• Handling and presentation of drill samples.
• Ensuring safe and clean worksite
• Servicing and maintaining of vehicles and equipment
• Assisting with camp duties
• Mobilising trucks and heavy equipment between drill site locations (must have minimum HR Licence)

• HR Licence is mandatory minimum requirement
• Current First Aid
• Physically fit
