About the employer

Our client is a close-knit family farming operation nestled in the heart of South Australia’s stunning Yorke Peninsula. For generations, this farm has been more than just a business – it’s been a home, a passion and a way of life. Now, we’re looking to add to the team with a special opportunity to become part of their extended farm family.

The Role

You’ll be involved in all aspects of farming operations, from involvement with their broadacre cropping program to equipment operation and maintenance, some livestock management and specific property projects. We value someone who can think on their feet, spot potential issues before they become a problem, and take initiative in their work – like another cog in the wheel, vital for everything to keep moving.

What will you bring?

We’re looking for someone who shares our clients’ meticulous attention to detail and takes pride in doing things right the first time. You’ll be someone who thinks through problems methodically and approaches tasks with care and precision.

Essential Qualities:

  • Meticulous approach to work with strong attention to detail
  • Farm experience, or complimentary trade skills (eg. carpentry, electrical, welding etc)
  • Independent thinker who can work autonomously and make sound decisions, and understands their role in a team environment
  • Genuine interest in a long-term career opportunity
  • Willingness to become part of our family farm and community
  • MC Licence preferable

Experience we value:

  • Previous farming or agricultural experience
  • Farm equipment operation and maintenance
  • Problem-solving mindset
  • Reliability and strong work ethic

What’s in it for you?

We’re offering not just a job, but a lifestyle and a long-term opportunity to grow with a well established and successful farm business. Benefits and a suitable remuneration package which reflects skills and experience will be negotiated with our successful candidate, with options including:

  • On-farm accommodation – a comfortable 3 bedroom house is provided a short distance from the main homestead and farm premises
  • Work Vehicles – for use for farm duties
  • Job Security  commitment to long-term employment for the right person
  • Competitive remuneration package – reflecting your skills and experience
  • Family-friendly atmosphere – you’ll be welcomed as part of their extended farm family and friendly farming community
  • Flexibility of hours – they understand farm life requires balance and can accommodate individual flexibility needs where possible
  • Skill development – opportunities to improve your skills across a diverse farming operation
  • Beautiful location – in a tourist destination with access to a coastal lifestyle, not too far from a capital city
