About the Role
This full-time position is based in Korunye near Two Wells is supported by a fully equipped workshop, working in a small yet active team, reporting to the Workshop Supervisor and will be responsible for:
- Proven experience as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic, preferably with a focus on forestry and earthmoving machinery.
- Overview of daily prestart procedures undertaken by the field operation team
- Full service of machines
- Fault diagnosis and troubleshooting
- Interpretation of Operator DVR’s, pre-starts and completion of all relevant documentation
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems, including engines, transmissions, and drivetrains conveyors and griding machines.
- Conduct routine service checks, oil changes, hydraulic system repairs, and other preventative maintenance tasks.
- Preventative maintenance
- Reporting and undertaking sourcing and fixing of issues that may cause failure or breakdowns
- Record keeping
- Attending breakdowns when required
The successful applicant is to have:
- Certificate III in Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or comparable international qualification)
- Proficient mechanical knowledge and demonstrated experience in relative trade
- At least three years’ relevant employment experience
- Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical faults in a variety of machines.
- An MR license is desirable but not essential. We will help support the right applicant in obtaining one – we have a service vehicle light truck
- Ability to work autonomously or under direct supervision

- Ability to pass a Pre-employment medical and Drug & Alcohol assessment
