An opportunity exists to join Vater Machinery at our Kadina Branch in a Heavy Diesel Mechanic / Agricultural Service Technician Role.

Vater Machinery is a family-owned and operated company based in Saddleworth, South Australia, with branches at Saddleworth, Kadina and Nuriootpa. We are a Company that strives for excellent customer service delivered by skilled and valued employees.

Working closely with and reporting to the Service Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing efficient and professional workshop and field repairs in a accurate and timely manner.

Key Attributes required for the Position include:

• Previous experience in servicing agricultural equipment is essential and a strong knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems would be an advantage.
• Trade Qualified
• Highly developed communication and customer liaison skills
• Posses excellent time-management skills
• Ability to complete all required paperwork in a timely and efficient manner
• Be self-motivated, enthusiastic and enjoy working in a team environment whilst being capable of working individually
• Availability to be rostered for “On-Call” service / breakdowns during the seasons of seeding and harvest
• Ability to develop and foster on-going positive working relationships with customers
• Posses a passion for agriculture
