About us:

Seven Point Australian Pork (part of JBS Australia) is the largest protein processing facility, located in Port Wakefield Pork (5550), just 24 km from Balaklava and 60 km from Kadina. We are currently local Night Shift Cleaner. Full-time skilled opportunity awaits the right applicants.

 

Industrial Cleaner (Pork/Meat Industry)

Full Time- Monday to Friday– Night Shift – Starting time at 9:00 pm

 

Main Duties:

Sanitizing Equipment and Machinery

• Clean and disinfect equipment used in meat processing (saws, conveyors, cutting tools, etc.).
• Follow strict protocols to prevent contamination.

Cleaning Production Areas

• Wash down walls, floors, drains, and other surfaces in processing zones.
• Use high-pressure hoses, chemicals, and cleaning tools safely.

Handling Cleaning Chemicals

• Mix and apply cleaning and sanitizing agents according to safety guidelines.
• Wear proper PPE (gloves, goggles, aprons, etc.) at all times.

Disassembling and Reassembling Equipment

• Take apart machinery for deep cleaning.
• Ensure equipment is reassembled properly for safe use the next shift.

Following Food Safety Regulations

• Comply with HACCP, CFIA, USDA, or other relevant food safety standards.
• Complete cleaning checklists and logs for quality assurance.

Waste Removal

• Dispose of waste materials and byproducts appropriately.
• Maintain cleanliness in garbage and waste storage areas.

Reporting Issues

• Identify and report equipment damage, leaks, or pest activity.
• Communicate with supervisors or maintenance teams when needed.

Working Overnight or Late Shifts

• Cleaning often happens after production ends (evenings or nights).
• Work in cold, wet, and sometimes noisy environments.

About You:

A highly motivated self-starter who demonstrates:

• Responsibility and ownership of decisions
• The ability to keep up with production
• Positivity, a good attitude, and clear communication
• A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
• The ability to attend and pass a medical with functional and D&A screening
• Strong attendance and a willingness to work 38 hours per week, plus reasonable overtime
