About us
Rural Skin Cancer Service (RSCS) is a growing outreach skin cancer screening clinic that exists to provide a quality diagnostic and treatment service to South Australian’s living in regional and rural areas. We aim to increase community awareness of Australia’s most common form of cancer and ensure skin cancers are caught in their early stages, thereby increasing the chances of successful treatment.
Our doctors are experienced skin cancer clinicians with advanced training and research in the field. We are looking to recruit a medical receptionist for our growing skin cancer clinic. This will be a casual position and you will be able to work in your own home office by negotiation.
Our initial requirement is for 2-3 casual shifts per month with the potential for more in the near future. Any experience in medical reception would be beneficial but is not essential. Training and ongoing support via our experienced team will be available.
Qualifications & experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a remote team.
- Intermediate or higher level of computer literacy.
- Professional integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- The successful applicant will be asked to supply a National Police Clearance.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Handle patient enquiries via telephone calls and email correspondence.
- Appointment bookings and management via cloud-based medical practice software (Helix).
- Manage patient recalls for procedures.
- Appointment billing and reconciliation.
- Plus some other general administrative tasks.
While this position will involve some work from home, the successful applicant should reside in or nearby the Clare Valley, SA, in order to facilitate in-person work when required.
