Are you a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented professional looking for a rewarding role in a patient-focused optometry practice? We are seeking a Optical Dispenser/Assistant to join our team in a front-of-house position.

About the role

As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a key role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our practice. While experience in medical reception is beneficial, prior experience in optometry would be highly regarded.

Full time and casual hours also considered

 

What you’ll be doing

  • Be part of a full-scope optometry practice that’s growing quickly and committed to delivering the highest standard of care.
  • Assist patients in selecting frames and lenses, manage orders and jobs, and provide outstanding service throughout the dispensing process.
  • Help with administrative tasks and contribute to a well-organised, smooth-running practice.
  • Work across a Monday to Friday roster, no weekends required!
  • Assisting in visiting ophthalmology clinics

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in a reception or customer service role (experience in optometry is an advantage)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with computer systems and a willingness to learn new software
  • A keen eye for detail and fashion is required
  • Flexibility to work additional hours to cover staff leave or emergencies
