About the role

Join the team at Salt Lake Bacon Pty Ltd as a Piggery Attendant. This full-time position is based in Lochiel SA 5510 and will see you playing a key role in the daily operations of our pig farm.

What you’ll be doing

• Assisting with the care and feeding of pigs
• Monitoring the health and wellbeing of the herd
• Maintaining a clean and hygienic environment in the piggery
• Completing routine cleaning and maintenance tasks
• Following all safety protocols and procedures
• Collaborating with the wider farm team to ensure optimal productivity

What we’re looking for

• Experience working on a farm, especially in a piggery or similar livestock environment
• Strong animal husbandry skills and the ability to recognise signs of ill health in pigs
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and biosecurity
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Willingness to work , including weekends
• A current driver’s licence
