About the role
What will I be doing?
At Thrive Health Centre we offer a broad range of podiatry services:
- Routine podiatry and diabetic assessments
- Musculoskeletal and sports injury
- Biomechanics, orthosis, and footwear consultation
- Paediatric through to aged assessment/consultation
- National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
- Aged care
- Community visits
Based at our main clinic in Port Pirie, you will assist us in exceeding client expectations with regard to one or more of the beforementioned areas, either in single or multi-disciplinary format. This will include the use of a work car to provide off site works to our amazing clients.
Should you wish to provide additional services outside of the above, we will support you to do so. Opportunities for student supervision are also available should you wish to do so.
Workload expectations
What will my first few weeks look like? How much work is expected of me?
Your first week will include orientation to our team, our processes, and the building, along with online training completion. You will be set up with regular weekly supervision for your clinical development. You will also be set up with a regular weekly wellbeing/workload meeting to ensure your workload remains manageable and enjoyable, and you are able to maintain work-life balance.
We will work with you to design your day to work best for you, with no expectation for weekend or outside of hours work. A typical day might include a mixture of clinic-based, community based, and aged home based clients. We get referrals for all forms of podiatry given our rural location.
We try to be as flexible as possible, knowing that each person is different and has different interests.
