About the Role

We’re looking for a Purchasing and Warehouse Officer to join the team reporting into the Supply Supervisor on an 8/6 roster, ongoing basis.

Duties include, however, not limited to the following:

  • Accurately process the receipt of goods against shipping orders, unpack, examine, and store appropriately.
  • Manage overdue orders as directed by Supply Supervisor.
  • Obtain quotes from Company suppliers when requested and create purchase orders when quotes are accepted and actioned.
  • Create purchase orders for all requisitions received; Action all new Heathgate item requests.
  • Ensure that any vending machines in situ remain fully stocked.
  • Organise stock rotation regularly to ensure goods are turned over appropriately and inventory is monitored and recorded to avoid wastage.
  • Inspect goods received for defects and/or damages and manage the end-to-end process for return and/or refund.
  • Track, monitor, and report on all fuel orders.
  • Follow up with suppliers to ensure fast delivery of time-critical components to the Site when necessary.
  • All purchasing activities as directed by the Supply Supervisor.
  • Process, pack and distribute goods ensuring they are recorded accurately.
  • Organise warehouse space for optimum accessibility and ensure it is kept clean and tidy and a safe and healthy working environment maintained.
  • Unload inventory items safely ensuring conformance with Company safety policies and procedures and place in the store immediately.
  • Check and verify all invoices against Company documentation and specifications.
  • Adhere to and comply with all WHS safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Contribute suggestions as to changes/amendments that will improve/ optimise existing warehousing procedures.
  • Carry out stock checks and stock maintenance as directed.
  • Ensure all Safety Data Sheets (SDS) are completed as determined by Company policy and up to date at all times.

About You

You will have experience in warehouse operations using inventory systems combined with technology skills using MS office and ERP systems (Tech 1 experience an added bonus). Ideally you have experience in mining or oil and gas, and/or FIFO operations.

You will have the following certificates:

  • National Police Check
  • Certificate III in Warehousing Operations or similar
  • Forklift High Risk works (Licence Class LF)
