Position Location: Port Pirie or Kadina or Clare

Position Status: Part Time 0.8 FTE – Maternity leave contract to 12/01/2026

The Domestic and Family Violence Service provides support to people who are experiencing Domestic or Family Violence.

As the Team Leader, you will support Yorke and Mid North Domestic and Family Violence staff to ensure they assess and respond to the individual needs of women and children in a manner which is inclusive and respectful.

This position is a prescribed Alliance position and will work within the frameworks and philosophies The South Australian Domestic and Family Violence Charter.

You will:

  • Have Management / Team Leader experience (preferred).
  • Have proficient time management and organisation skills.
  • Have strong relationship building and communication skills.
  • Have a knowledge of key barriers facing people with complex needs.

It is essential for you to have: 

  • Current Australian Drivers Licence.
  • Relevant experience in a paid or voluntary capacity.

A Diploma (or above) in a Human Services or Management related discipline is highly desirable, but is not essential.

You may also need to be available for some out of hours work and travel between Uniting Country SA sites or interstate as required.

 

Our process will require you to upload a Cover Letter and Resume as separate documents, and also to respond to the following online questions:

  • Please provide some specific examples of how you have utilised the TEAMS app for purposes other than scheduling and participating in meetings.
  • Provide a summary of your past or current leadership experience.
  • Have you any experience with report writing? Can you summarise what these reports involved?
  • What strategies do you employ to effectively manage crises while also ensuring timely and high-quality completion of non-urgent tasks?
  • Summarise any experience you have of working with people who have been impacted by domestic and family violence?

Your responses to these questions should contain examples where possible.
