Vineyard Supervisor – Clare, SA

We are seeking a Vineyard Supervisor to join our team based at our Clare, SA Vineyard. This full-time position reports to the Viticulture Manager and is responsible for providing operational support for planning and implementation of work programs across the 140ha vineyard operation.

This position will suit someone who has previous experience working on vineyards, horticultural or agricultural properties preferably in a leadership or supervisory role. The position is hands on, you will need to possess a sound knowledge of irrigation processes and have a strong mechanical aptitude.  You will also understand the importance of safety in the workplace and ensure safe work practices are followed.

The ideal candidate will enjoy being an integral part of a dynamic team, will work to a high standard, possess exceptional people management skills, solid numeracy, literacy and communication skills together with excellent time management skills.

Skills and experience:

  • Experience in cool climate vineyard management at a Team Leader or Supervisory level.
  • Solutions focussed with a can-do attitude.
  • Mechanically minded with the initiative and ability to problem solve.
  • Excellent technical understanding of viticulture.
  • Solid understanding of regulations effecting viticulture and grape supply practices.
  • Relevant degree or qualification in Viticulture would be an advantage.
