Job Summary

In response to the continuous growth within the renewables sector, we are seeking Mechanical & Electrical Turbine Technicians to join our team immediately. Preferred skills and training include GWO Basic Safety Training, a White Card, and prior experience in the wind industry is highly valued.

The position offers a dynamic opportunity within the Wind Industry, involving tasks ranging from servicing, maintenance, and repairs on Wind Turbines to fulfilling ad-hoc site requirements essential for ongoing Wind Farm maintenance and operation.

Our ideal candidate will demonstrate adaptability to varying work environments across different customer sites in Australia, maintain a professional demeanour, and prioritize Health and Safety practices.

Excellent communication skills, the ability to work effectively within a remote team, and comfortable interaction with customers on-site and management remotely are essential.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Conducting inspection and repairs of wind turbine components.
  • Performing scheduled and unscheduled service and maintenance activities.
  • Reporting errors, incidents, or issues to site managers or lead technicians.
  • Ensuring work is completed in compliance with customer requirements.
  • Interpreting manuals, specifications, and work instructions to devise work plans.
  • Maintaining accurate reporting and detailed records using various software.
  • Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with company permits to work, SWMS, LOTO, HSE, and associated policies and procedures.

Skills and experience:

  • Mechanical experience (maintenance fitters, mechanics, diesel fitters, or similar) or trade would be highly regarded.
  • Electrical experience current Electrical License.
  • Must be proficient in fault finding mechanical, electrical and hydraulic equipment or have previous exposure in similar environments.
  • Must be willing to follow instruction and use ones initiative to complete physically demanding tasks at heights.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management remotely.
  • Able to pass Pre-Employment Medical & Drug and Alcohol Screening.
  • Be willing to provide acceptance for pre-employment National Police Check.
  • Current Drivers License.
  • White Card.
  • Current First Aid/CPR (highly regarded).
  • Working at Heights with rescue component.
  • Or GWO Certification (highly regarded).
