Media Release: Support Program Launched for Clare Valley Tourism Operators

Support Program Launched for Clare Valley Tourism Operators

January 2024

Tourism operators in the Clare Valley tourism region have the opportunity to grow and improve their business thanks to an exciting new tourism accelerator program being delivered in the region.

The collaborative project between Regional Development Australia Yorke and Mid North (RDA Yorke and Mid North) and the Clare Valley Wine and Grape Association (CVWGA) aims to elevate tourism experiences, bolster online bookable offerings, and foster business growth in the region.

Tourism Accelerator has been engaged to facilitate the program, delivering comprehensive support to businesses of varying scales through one-on-one business coaching, advisory and implementation support.

The program will support operators in the following areas:

  • Developing new or improving existing tourism products,
  • Ensuring your product is online bookable,
  • Finding the right online distribution partners for your business (e.g. AirBNB, booking.com, etc.),
  • Website optimisation,
  • Australian Tourism Data Warehouse optimisation, and,
  • Digital Marketing support, including Facebook Ads and Google My Business.

Jordan Martin, Regional Tourism Manager for the Clare Valley, says, “We’re very excited to be able to offer this level of tailored support to our tourism operators. By participating in the program, operators will be able to leverage expert advice in creating and improving their offerings, amplify visitor experiences and further enhance the Clare Valley’s appeal as a sought-after destination.”

Hayden Zammit Meaney, Director of Tourism Accelerator, says, “Supporting businesses to elevate their offering online, and by working with both domestic and international partners will support the growth of the industry in the Clare Valley. Operators will be looking at ways that they can be more appealing to travellers, in a competitive market – so this hands on support will give them the best shot at highlighting their experience.”

Operators wanting to register for the program can do so by completing the application form by Wednesday, 31 January 2024 online at https://www.tourismaccelerator.com.au/clare-valley.
