About the role

Star of the Sea Aged Care facility is seeking a full-time / Part – time or Casual Registered Nurse – Aged Care Residential to join their dedicated team in Wallaroo, SA 5556. In this crucial role, you will provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to our elderly residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social well-being.

What you’ll be doing

• Delivering comprehensive nursing assessments, developing and implementing individualised care plans
• Administering medications and treatments in accordance with residents’ needs and medical orders
• Monitoring residents’ health and well-being, and promptly reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel
• Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate holistic care and improve resident outcomes
• Providing emotional support and engaging residents in social activities to enhance their quality of life
• Maintaining accurate and detailed records, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and policies

What we’re looking for

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
• Extensive experience in aged care nursing, with a strong understanding of the unique needs of elderly residents
• Excellent clinical skills, including medication management, wound care, and palliative care
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with a compassionate and empathetic approach
• Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
• Proficient in using electronic medical records and other relevant software
