Grant details
The Department of Primary Industries and Regions (PIRSA) is offering the Connecting Communities Events Grant as part of the Family and Business Support Program to support rural communities in South Australia affected by drought and other adversity. The aim of this program is to support gatherings that encourage communities to come together, share experiences, and reinforce the unity and strength of rural areas.
Amounts
Grants of up to $5,000 (GST exclusive) are available to industry, community, not-for-profit, local government and incorporated groups to host events that foster social connections and provide support during these times.
Eligibility
Eligible groups within South Australia include (but are not limited to):
- farmer groups, including Agricultural Bureau branches and farming systems groups
- industry organisations
- community groups such as agricultural show societies, progress associations, sports clubs, service clubs
- local government.

Submitting an application does not guarantee approval of a Grant.
Applications will be assessed by PIRSA in the order they are received, and outcomes will be advised in approximately 4 weeks if all of the required information has been provided.
