Uni Hub Spencer Gulf are very excited to announce that we will soon be holding “Dealing with Difficult Customers” an exciting new offering in our professional short course program delivered by the University of Adelaide.

Designed for professionals on the frontline, this course explores the causes of conflict and equips participants with strategies to manage and resolve conflicts more effectively. It emphasises collaboration with clients to facilitate problem-solving and reach mutually agreeable outcomes.  This course is ideal for professionals aiming to strengthen their conflict resolution and customer interaction skills.

Topics include:

  • What is the difference between difficult, angry and abusive customers?
  • How can I respond in each instance without escalating the situation?
  • What external factors might be contributing to customer hostility?
  • How can reflective listening help me demonstrate empathy and understanding?
  • What is collaborative language and why is it relevant to conflict resolution?
  • How and why should I use effective questioning to gather information?
  • What workplace and environmental factors can I change or be more aware of?
  • How can I manage my own emotions and stay calm under pressure?

Cost of the course is generally $695pp but due to funding through the Local Buying Foundation we are able to offer the course at a subsidised cost of  just $550pp.  This is such a good opportunity to attend professional development locally – places will fill fast!
