Eligibility: Early childhood services and organisations located in an regional, rural or hard-to-staff areas.
The South Australian Government’s Flying Start Workforce Grants offer up to $100,000 to help early childhood services and organisations in regional, rural and hard-to-staff areas address early childhood workforce challenges. The grants support innovative, community-driven solutions to strengthen local capacity for delivering quality 3-year-old preschool from 2026.
Flying Start Workforce Grant applications should:
- demonstrate innovation by offering new ideas and initiatives
- outline proposed collaboration and partnerships across the community to provide holistic, community-based solutions
- identify local programs and/or projects that support cultural safety, and positive mental health and wellbeing, to address barriers to attracting and retaining staff.
