Based in the Peterborough, Clare, Whyalla area’s, as our invaluable Home Support Worker, you will deliver high quality domestic services to meet the needs of Helping Hand clients within their homes and to assist clients in the community. This includes supporting independence and the clients right to choose.

You’ll also make an impact by:

  • Preparing home-cooked meals, assisting with shopping and transport to appointments
  • Supporting clients to live in their homes by helping out with household chores like cleaning, laundry, etc
  • Maintaining a friendly, professional, and positive manner when representing Helping Hand in the community
  • Delivering social support by engaging meaningfully with clients in each interaction

 

What you’ll bring

To succeed in this role, you will have the following:

  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate (or be willing to obtain one)
  • Current driver licence
  • A registered, well-maintained, reliable and insured vehicle
  • Good communication skills, including the ability to speak and write clearly and accurately
  • Ability to operate smartphones and apps (such as Microsoft Outlook)
  • Have a valid NDIS Worker Screening clearance or be willing to obtain one.

You’ll stand out from the crowd if you have some of the following:

  • Previous experience in providing domestic services in a community setting.
  • Knowledge of local area including shopping centers, services within the local community
  • Demonstrated ability to make decisions, take initiative and work independently.
