Locum Speech Pathologists required for regional health service located 2.5 hours from Adelaide. The role is to start ASAP and will last for 3-6 months. Full time hours, Monday – Friday.  There are multiple allied health clinicians on the team, including Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, Dietitians and Allied Health Assistants.

The Speech Pathologists at this service are Rural Generalists providing clinical services to adults and children with swallowing and communication difficulties. They provide services through a variety of therapy modes including 1:1, groups, telehealth, and consultative services.

Working with adults, you will have the opportunity to develop your dysphagia management and adult communication (speech, language, and voice) skills. They work with adults in hospitals, nursing homes and in the community, including palliative care support. They also provide education and training for staff within nursing homes and residential facilities around dysphagia management and IDDSI standards.

As part of the Child Health and Development (CHAD) team, you will work predominantly using a multi-disciplinary model delivering client centred care. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills in communication including speech, language, and fluency, as well as supporting clients to access AAC to meet their communication needs. Paediatric feeding is also a key focus area, working as part of a multi-disciplinary feeding team. They service children aged 0 to 4 years, prior to school entry, and address the health and medical needs of children aged 0 to 18 years.

Open to junior and senior clinicians. A driving license in required. FREE accommodation available. Locum rates apply (based on experience). The role is located just 2.5 hours from Adelaide.
