Quality & Environment Manager

For three generations the Taylor family have crafted great Australian wines in the Clare Valley, South Australia. We understand that truly great wines are made in the vineyard and that the art of fine winemaking is to respect and capture the essence of the vineyard site and to highlight the unique varietal expression of each grape variety.

 

The Role:

 

Based the Auburn Winery site and collaborating with key stakeholders, the Quality & Environment Manager is responsible for taking a proactive approach to ensure compliance with national standards and legislation for Food Safety, Environment, Workplace Health and Safety and international supplier accreditation programs. The Quality & Environment Manager takes responsibility for the ongoing development, management and maintenance of the Management Systems, Accreditations and Audit programs.

 

What you bring to the Role:

 

We are looking for a positive, proactive and results orientated team member who has extensive experience managing Quality Management systems. Your consultative approach, ability to connect with diverse stakeholders, and collaborative work style will see you succeed in this role. We want you to demonstrate the following attributes:

 

  • Experience, commitment, and success in managing numerous accreditations/certifications covering Food Safety, Work Health and Safety, and Environment/Sustainability
  • Possess well developed analytical, research and interpretative skills.
  • Advanced communication, interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Strong team ethic with the ability to build collaborative relationships.
    • Experience in Continuous improvement, developing and automating processes, and best practice to enable efficiency in business systems.
    • Results-orientated with the ability to identify and prioritise problems and issues, generate solutions and work collaboratively to achieve successful outcomes.
    • Experience with managing and leading internal & external Audits.

Other key skills and experience include:

 

  • Tertiary qualification (preferred but not essential) in Science, Environment, Engineering, or a related field
  • Prior experience in a Quality Management systems role within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with interpreting and applying ISO standards.
  • Strong analytical, decision making and root cause analysis skills.
  • Collaborative and pragmatic working style, inclusive in making decisions.
  • Advanced computer skills including MS Office Suite is highly regarded.
