Eligibility: small businesses and not-for-profit organisations

To qualify for funding, the energy efficient purchase(s) must be from the following list:

• Power supply and generation
• Lighting and electrical
• Energy efficient appliances – 4-star rating or better
• Heating, cooling and refrigeration
• Water heating
• Motors, pumps, fans and compressors
• Building upgrades
• Process automation, controls and optimisation
• Other unique projects/equipment
• Additional included expenses

$20 million has been allocated for the second round of the ERF to support up to 8,000 eligible small businesses and not-for-profit organisations to invest in energy efficient equipment or other improvements to reduce and manage their energy usage and costs.

Grants ranging from $2,500 to a maximum of $50,000, with a matching contribution by the applicant, will be available on a first-come, first-served basis until the funding allocation has been exhausted.
