Eligibility:

  • Local governments,

Football clubs (who have both junior and senior teams playing in leagues that are run or affiliated with SANFL) and umpire associations

  • Schools and tertiary education institutions that have strong linkages with clubs

 

The SA Football Facilities Fund provides funding to develop Australian Rules football facilities across South Australia.

 

The aim of the program is to:

  • Provide fit for purpose, inclusive and accessible facilities that cater for a diversity of participants, particularly all genders and all-ability participants, that wish to participate in our game
  • Maximise available carrying capacity of existing venues and the quality/functionality of supporting infrastructure
  • Develop increased supply through construction of new ovals, especially in growth areas
  • Develop venues to support high performance and talent pathways for players and umpires
  • Provide welcoming and functional facilities that enhance the experience for volunteers and spectators

 

A pool of approximately $3,400,000 is available in Round 2.

The following table outlines maximum grant amounts.

Strategic Project – Turf (Irrigation, Drainage Upgrade etc) 50% of total project cost,
capped at $75,000
Supporting Infrastructure – Goal Posts, Backing Nets, Timekeepers, Interchange and Coaches Boxes 50% of total project cost,
capped at $50,000
Supporting Infrastructure – Scoreboards 50% of total project cost,
capped at $25,000
