Youth Action Plan Life Skills

Eligibility:

  • Local councils
  • Aboriginal Community-Controlled Organisations
  • Not-for-profits and social enterprises

 

One-off grants of up to $15,000 are available for eligible organisations working directly with young people that are in metropolitan and regional South Australia, with a target of 50% of grants being provided to rural and regional SA.

  • The funding will help create or expand programs that teach essential life skills, including:
  • Navigating government services (e.g., applying for birth certificates, Medicare cards, and Tax File Numbers)
  • Resume building, job applications, and interview preparation
  • Healthy lifestyle choices, nutrition, and the impact of diet
  • Financial literacy, budgeting, and debt management
  • Practical skills such as car maintenance, meal prep, and basic home upkeep
  • Learner’s license driving programs for young people from priority groups
