RDA Yorke and Mid North welcome a new Chair

Regional Development Australia (RDA) Yorke and Mid North is pleased to announce the appointment of Ali Paulett as Chair of the organisation. Ali was appointed following an extensive recruitment process conducted by the Commonwealth Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts and in consultation with State and Local Government.

Joining the organisation at a pivotal time for the region, Ali brings invaluable experience from her role as Managing Director of Paulett Wines, Vice Chair of Clare Valley Wine and Grape Association and member of the Agribusiness, Food and Wine Industry Skills Council, and previous winner of the SA AgriFutures Rural Women’s Award.

“I am honoured to be appointed Chair of RDA Yorke and Mid North and look forward to working alongside our Board, stakeholders and communities to help unlock opportunities across the region. The Yorke and Mid North is home to innovative businesses, resilient communities, and significant growth potential. I am passionate about ensuring we build on these strengths to drive sustainable economic development, attract investment, and create opportunities for future generations.” said Ms Paulett.

Ali and Deputy Chair Dr Helen Macdonald also gave thanks to the contributions and impact of previous Chair Bill Vandepeer, who concluded his term in April 2026. “Bill has provided unceasing commitment and leadership of the RDAYMN Board in the support of economic development across the region for over 10 years. We cannot thank him enough for this leadership and all his contributions. ” said Dr Macdonald.

RDA Yorke and Mid North would like to extend its thanks to Bill Vandepeer for his contribution as the Chair for the past decade.

As part of a network of 50 RDA committees across the nation, RDA Yorke and Mid North plays a pivotal role in working with communities, businesses, the 11 local government authorities of the Yorke and Mid North region, State and Federal Governments to grow prosperity and enhance the liveability of the Yorke and Mid North.
